In Lyra, meetings happen inside spaces.

A space is where you and your team can join calls, collaborate on documents, and keep everything from that meeting in one place.

You can get into a space in two ways:

  • Click on an "upcoming meeting" from your calendar (if your calendar is connected, Lyra automatically creates spaces for your events)

  • Create a new space from your Lyra dashboard (top right)

Starting a meeting

Once you’re inside a space, you’ll see a Start a meeting button.

  • Click it to launch your meeting.

  • You’ll be taken directly into the call.

Inviting participants

If your meeting was scheduled on your calendar, anyone on the calendar invite will already have the Lyra link.

When they click on that link, they will enter the space and be able to join the call.

If you want to invite more people during the meeting, you have two options:

  1. From the top right of the call – open the participants dropdown, then select Share settings

  2. From the left-hand navigation – click Admin, where you can also invite people to the space

You can invite people by:

  • Entering their email address (they’ll get an email invite and join directly)

  • Copying and sharing the meeting link

How participants join

  • If you’ve invited someone by email, they’ll join the meeting directly.

  • If they use the link but with a different email, they’ll enter a waiting room and you’ll need to approve them.

  • By default, new participants join as viewers. Viewers can attend the call, see replays, and view any public pages in the space. If you want to keep notes private, make sure to use private notes or private pages.
